Middlemarch Communications was formed two years ago as the more rural and regional arm of Cratus Communications. Since then we have helped a range of clients with development projects spanning the South of England. It is our focus on the often ignored rural and regional communities of the UK that makes us different – and it is this that we believe will underpin our success.
To continue our growth, we are now looking for an enthusiastic intern to become part of the team; the successful candidate will benefit from the opportunity to learn from us and build with us.
We offer a hugely varied workload which will challenge any creative thinker. A willingness to ‘self-start’ and take responsibility is a pre-requisite, as it an interest in, and understanding of, politics. This role is all about understanding the decision making process and the various communications levers that influence it.
The abilities to undertake detailed research and write effectively are essential, as they will constitute a major part of this role. Highly developed IT and social media skills are increasingly important in the fields of politics and communications, and so these too are required.
Due to the location of our office and the nature of our work, a driving licence and access to a car are fundamental. All business mileage will be refunded at HMRC rates.
The internship will be paid at £234.50 per week.
The closing date for this position is 30 October 2015.
Interview & Start Dates
Interviews will be held in the West Country in early/Mid November 2015, and the anticipated start date is late November.
How to apply
In the first instance please send a cover letter outlining your suitability for this role and a CV – to be received by 30 October.
