Middlemarch are pleased to announce that very soon we will be relocating, from one picturesque Dorset town – Shaftesbury – to another – Wimborne.
The move will allow us to continue growing as a company, building on a year in which we have enjoyed many successes. We are proud to have helped win planning consent for more than 30MW of new, clean solar energy, providing electricity sustainably in Somerset, Gloucestershire, Sussex and Dorset. Heading further north, we also supported an 8.5MW extension of an onshore wind farm at Burton Latimer in Northamptonshire. Away from the field of planning, Middlemarch has continued to support the renewables sector by contributing to the lobbying campaign of Dutch wind turbine manufacturer EWT.
Perhaps the most exciting project of all was Watkin Jones’ ambitious £120 million redevelopment of the Lansdowne, in the heart of Bournemouth. Through comprehensive research and a strong communications campaign we were able to convey the real benefits of this scheme to local residents, businesses and the Council, culminating in the developer being granted unanimous consent from Bournemouth’s Planning Board.
From our new headquarters we will continue to help our clients navigate the unique and eclectic world that is rural and coastal affairs. To discuss how Middlemarch can support your work in relation to a particular local authority or community, please contact us.
